Five Point Five Months

Little Leo is now five and a half months old! Recent milestones include:
Rolling over. He’s done this only a few times.

  • Weighing a lot. He’s big!
  • Grabbing and touching things.
  • Putting everything in his mouth.
  • Sticking his tongue out and doing weird stuff with it.
  • Following items horizontally as well as vertically.
  • Getting absolutely surprised by peek-a-boo. He loves it. He absolutely loves it.
  • Holding a bottle on his own.

These advancements may not seem to incredible, but it’s impressive when you compare it to what his abilities were a month ago and find that he was incapable of all so many things (except weighing a lot. He’s been pretty skilled at that since about month 2)

Bedtime is still rough, and get caught a cold recently and has been a bit fussier than his normal level, which makes nighttime a struggle. It’d be pretty great if he fell asleep when he is tired, instead of staying awake and grinding his face onto things and further exacerbating the already rough situation.

He’s got quite the collection of grandmas, and will soon have gotten acquainted with all of them. I think it’s good to do this now before he begins to fear strangers. If a few memories could be sown in the little guy’s mind that makes future meetings with his relatives easier, that’d be great.
