When is a clump of cells considered living? Is a drop of blood life? Does it require a digestive tract, or the ability to create its own energy? Is it only life once it can move?

We’re expecting a baby, but for a few months, we’ve had a clump of cells. We have began calling it Clumpo. The gender of this unintelligent mass is unknown. It has no personality……but it will.
