Baby Movement

I want to think of Clumpo as a living being with a functioning mind, or at least a living being that can respond to stimulus. Therefore, its movement patterns are confusing to me. I am trying my best to figure out what triggers its movement inside of Yuki.

Supposedly, it can hear us, and has been able to for a little while now. However, reacting to loud noises is something that is supposed to occur in the 8th month of pregnancy. So where does that leave us? Why the wiggles and jiggles? I don’t want to picture them as being completely random, because that makes Clumpo more of a thing than a child.

According to the wealth of information on the internet written by jackasses such as myself, there are plenty of anecdotes to contradict each other. Sweet food may make baby wiggle, carbonated drinks may make baby wiggle, no movement by the mother, or movement by the mother can make baby wiggle, and wiggling can also be related to time somehow despite baby’s inability to see outside of the womb. If you thought Yahoo! Answers was full of shit, then you should take a look around at baby information. Some of it will blow your goddam mind.

So, please share your anecdotal information with us concerning baby movement. Despite what I just said about yahoos on Yahoo, I will trust what you have to say and hopefully it will provide some insight why Clumpo wiggles and jiggles the way it does.
